It feels like forever since i wrote here.  Well, winery job finished, impatiently waiting for interviews.  Patience is tough.  But better to wait things out than jump in and make a mistake, although some mistakes have been a lot of fun.  I'm glad I've taken so many chances in life, cause we never know when that will be our only chance.  If I had a lot of money, say I won the lottery, I would open a Pho noodle shop in San Luis Obispo near Albertsons on Foothill blvd, where there are a lot of apartments and asians.  It would be open late on weekends, for the college crowd.  It would be so profitable, if only I had start up capital.  In the meantime, looking for a decent job that would be exciting.  I would love to go into research for fruit trees and plants, I think the USDA would be great to work for.  I wonder where I'll be and who I'll be with.  Sadly though, at my rate I'll still be single with many friends.  Sigh.  Why does everyone hide behind closed doors, and entertain themselves with technology instead of primitive socializing?

Every person has his belief, but to look down upon a person's belief just because it is different and to put judgment upon that person because he doesn't believe the same, that in itself is condemning judgment upon the person who judged, is it not? I have heard "You wont go to heaven because you don't believe in Christ"
but look at Romans 2. Only God will judge us in the end, so no one has the right to tell another that he/she will not be accepted. For any human being to place judgment on another person is totally wrong. Why judge another, is it not some comparison to state one is better than another in human standards? If not, then why does one judge? What is the purpose of judgment? When a "Christian" says to a non-believer that only because the non-believer doesn't believe in Christ that that person will not be accepted by God. I beg you to translate Romans 2:13-15 for me, because I interpret those scriptures as God sees each deed and judges each soul depending on the goodness they have done, whether they knew the law or not. People say Faith gets you into heaven, I believe that is true because Faith produces good deeds done by nature. But if a man did good deeds without knowing the bible, then God will judge him according to his heart.

hey michelle! you have several issues here that we should look at but i'm just going to comment on one for now.
i like your argument that christians should not be so judgemental to non-christians (though at the same time we should remember non-christians are often even more judgemental towards christians ). i find it bad form to be demeaning, using Christ as a reason that you should be more superior to another person. in fact, remember the words that the Christ came not to be served but to serve. also that he humbled himself. there are many verses that contradict this type of superiority thinking and it may be good to look them up.
maybe one should think of it this way. you see a man with a cut on his arm, a very bad cut. he's bleeding all over the floor. you tell the man that he's got a cut on his arm and he shrugs it off and says it's nothing. now what do you do? do you tell him again? do you look down on him because he has a cut on his arm? do you try to get his attention? do you get mad at him because he's messing up the floor? do you wonder how long it will be until he passes out and or dies? do we make a judgement that he is indeed bleeding?
there is one very important thing, this Christ thing, it's not for this world. as one famous evangelist said, think of it like a parachute, it's not going to improve the plane ride. it may even make it more uncomfortable.
Christ represents, or rather is, forgiveness, not good deeds. it's not about being a good person, so we have to change our understanding. we mustn't play God and believe that God judges like we do, based on deeds alone.
i hope that helps.

It is so easy for me to get caught up in this world, stressing over job, relationships, money, etc.  I often overwhelm myself with things that don't matter.  Reading John 14:25-27 was so refreshing. "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of everything I have said to you.  Peace I leave with you, peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
The Holy Spirit always reminds me to just let go and know that God has me in his plans, no matter how badly I fail, it's all written in His plan.  And my stress and anxieties about things in this world is so pathetic, why stress over everyday life.  It does nothing for me but worry me and give me wrinkles.

To see the world through the eyes of a child, such a wild brilliant imagination.  It seems as we get older we lose part of that, as we learn more, we dream less, we become more practical, more realistic.  It's sort of sad.  Children ask for anything without reservation, they are not scared of rejection or embarassed of not knowing the answer.  Sometimes I envy their simplicity, their laughter, their imagination, their simple worlds.  Feels like my childhood has expired, no matter how many dumb things I do I could never bring back what has gone.

I love the simplicity of Xanga, it's simple and you don't need a password to view.  Facebook seems complex and pics. take a very long time to download, I don't have fast speed internet.  The person I was looking for is not even on Facebook, she's on My Space, how many programs are there?  A headache and one.
Has our generation really turned into vain, materialistic shopaholics that care more about $$$ than reputation?  Apparently so, when teens will sell their body for quick money so they can buy a new car.  It's sad to know how much value is placed on money, when $$ comes between friends, family and true happiness and in the end all it is,  is paper, cheap, filthy paper.  Yet this filthy money can supposedly buy a beautiful face, a perfect body, short-term friends, things that are suppose to make life easier.  So my generation, we work our butts off to gain as much of this paper as we can, sacrificing relationships, friends and family along the way, then when we are old we can reflect back and see all the happiness money bought us.
